Crystal Clear Economy Chlor – Salt Water Chlorinators
Saltwater chlorination is the solution to most pool problems because it ensures that your pool has constant and consistent sanitation, eliminating the need for you to purchase granular chlorine.
This can be a considerable saving if you calculate what you would spend on chlorine for your swimming pool in two years.
The Crystal Clear Economy Chlor salt chlorinator separates itself from competing brands because it has a five-year warranty on the cell (electrode).
This is a self-cleaning salt pool chlorinator and features ten output settings.
It also has a built-in timer with a battery backup that allows you to run the unit for fewer hours than you run the swimming pool pump, preserving the cell’s life span.
Myths about Salt Water Chlorinators
You don’t have to balance your water.
Balancing your water (pH) is essential for any sanitising to occur. No matter what chemical you are using to oxidise bacteria in your water, it will lose its effectiveness if the pH is too high.
You never have to clean the cell.
Even with the self-cleaning units, if your water is particularly hard (high in calcium), then build-up can occur on the cells. There are additives one can add to swimming pool water to help prevent the scale from forming on the salt chlorinator cell. However, there still may be a need to clean the cell, even if the unit is a self-cleaning unit.
If you’re allergic to chlorine, then the salt chlorinator is the answer.
Unfortunately, salt chlorinators do not mean you’re getting away from chlorine as such. The electrolysis that activates the salt turns it into chlorine gas. The available chlorine test one does on a salt pool is the same as on a chlorinated pool.
An advantage, however, is that the steady dosing of chlorine in the pool prevents a sudden spike of chlorine in the water. Spikes happen when one doses granular chlorine directly into the swimming pool.
For crystal clear swimming pool water, turn to saltwater chlorination.
